Warmest place in Japan

Is there any region of Japan where the temperatures never fall below 10 degrees Celsius?

I moved to Thailand a while ago and I have been regretting it everyday despite all the amazing and wonderful things about Thailand and Thai people.

Despite all the great things, I can no longer put up with the dangerous driving or the widespread chaos and influx of rich foreigners (e.g. the Chinese) driving up prices such as rents. It is just getting intolerable for me. A few other reasons as well, but I don’t wanna turn this post into a discussion over that…

My partner is Thai, so I have a personal reason to be grateful for having come here, but for two reasons, I am trying to find a better alternative to Thailand:

(1) I know from many people that the Japanese are generally not fond of foreigners and it is therefore extremely difficult to assimilate and grow in a job, etc…

(2) I have allergic rhinitis where cold and moist weather triggers my throat gag reflex and basically I can no longer speak because every time I open my mouth, I feel I am throwing up. It is literally as bad as that. This was one major consideration for moving to Thailand. Temperatures here never drop below 25 degrees Celsius, so I can actually operate and talk.

I would love to move to Japan where there are strict rules and laws for everything and driving is safe and people are not allowed to have guns and there is order and organization everywhere and most people (similar to Thailand) are courteous and respectful.

I thought about places such as Singapore and Malaysia but I am not too sure if the qualities I am looking for are actually going to be there…

  1. Okinawa hands down is the warmest place but opportunities there may be limited.

Otherwise Fukuoka but that will get colder in the winter.

  2. You don’t mention anything about your job, which would dictate which visa you will get and if you even *can* move to Japan.

Okinawa is probably the only place in Japan that fits your criteria, but… If you have issues with “rich foreigners” you’re going to ***hate*** Okinawa. It’s overrun by Americans and tourists. Plus there are *very* limited employment options, circling back to the first point.

    >I would love to move to Japan where there are strict rules and laws for everything

Um… You should maybe do some research on Japan. Because that honestly sounds like you don’t really know much about Japan beyond what the internet “Japan is so cool!” community might say.

    >driving is safe

In Okinawa? Snerk. Not really, no.

    >there is order and organization everywhere and most people (similar to Thailand) are courteous and respectful.

    Again, see “do some research”

  3. Okinawa would be the only place where it never gets below 10c

Fukuoka in January hovers at around 10c (Jan 25th daily average high is 9c: https://weatherspark.com/m/142927/1/Average-Weather-in-January-in-Fukuoka-Japan)

The main problem with Okinawa is finding an employer to sponsor you. The largest employer down there, by a wide margin, is the US military.

Singapore is probably your better bet. They’re right on the equator and are a major financial center. Loads of jobs. Plus they speak English.
