What is this AI bot farm
I’m sure it’s much more than that. Lots of spouse visas working remote jobs and getting paid into their foreign accounts. I know a few.
I believe over 70% of billionaires in Japan have unpaid tax or hidden income.
it is not 10% of permanent residents though:
(from the article)
According to the Immigration Office, there were approximately 890,000 permanent residents in the country as at the end of December 2023, and the **payment status of all permanent residents was unknown.**
However, as a result of examining the documents of **some permanent residence permit applications**, it said that out of the 1,825 cases that had been examined between January and June 2011, 235 cases (12.8%) had not paid the tax.
What’s the percentage for the whole population?
