I will be coming from Kyoto on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen and will be changing trains at Shinagawa Station to catch the Keikyū Main Line for Asakusa.
According to Google maps to do this I have to change trains:
- Get off the Shinkansen at Shinagawa Station
- Take the stairs
- Follow signs for Shinkansen Tracks (South Gate), Pass the fare gate
- Take the stairs, Exit via Konan Exit (East Exit)
- Take the stairs
- Pass the fare gate
- Take the stairs
- Keikyu Main Line Platform 2
But according to this Shinagawa Station Map, I am confused why I have to exit via Konan Exit.
There is a red line (accessible route) so why can't I stay within the gates and just head north towards Keikyu Line.
