JPDB “I don’t know” and “I already know” buttons

So, I've been reading a bit of the documentation for JPDB recently, and I noticed that I never saw those two buttons mentioned in the title for new cards.

By my experience, the buttons are the exact same for new cards and reviews.

Is it just that the documentation isn't up to date ?
