Revised 14-Day Itinerary Check: Osaka – Kyoto – Hiroshima – Miyajima – Tokyo – August Trip

Hey everyone! I've posted my initial itinerary last time, and based on everyone's feedback (thank you SO MUCH for that), I've since revised it. Let me know your what you think about this updated itinerary.

I also have 2 days where I haven't planned anything yet.
I'm planning to use those 2 days either to extend the stay in Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka… or for travel time, maybe.
Based on the planned activities in my itinerary, which of those places should I spend those 2 free days on to explore more?

Our flight to Japan is through Osaka (arriving nighttime) and our flight back home is through Tokyo (morning).

I just wanna know if this itinerary is feasible and practical – like is it doable, considering travel times and the ability to really enjoy the places?

I'm traveling with my mom who is still relatively young and has a lot of energy, so a medium pace is what we want. However, since we're going in the summer and both she and I have migraines that can be triggered by humidity and heat, this is also something to consider.

Additionally, is a Suica card better or should we get the 14-day JR Pass?

Itinerary:

Osaka
Day 1: Arrival at 7pm

  • Stroll around

Day 2:

  • Dotonbori
  • Nankin-machi

Miyajima and Hiroshima
Day 5:

  • Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima)
  • Mount Misen (Miyajima)
  • Peace Park (Genbaku Dome, etc.) (Hiroshima)

Miyajima and Hiroshima can be interchanged, but we'll want to visit these 2 in one day. If anything, we plan to explore Miyajima more than Hiroshima, but only briefly.

  • Fushimi Inari Shrine
  • Ninenzaka Street
  • Kiyomizu-dera
  • Kiyomizu-zaka Street

Day 7:

  • Yasaka Jinja
  • Gion
  • Nishiki Market
  • Pontocho Alley
  • Kamogawa
  • Suirokako (optional)

Day 8:

  • Arashiyama Bamboo Grove
  • Togetsukyo Bridge
  • Warabimochi
  • Iwateyama Mountain Park
  • Katsura River / Romantic Train

Tokyo
Day 9:

  • Akihabara
  • Imperial Gardens

Day 10:

  • Harajuku
  • Shinjuku

Day 12:

  • DisneySea

Day 13: (Free Day)

Day 14: (Free Day)

Day 15: Departure at 8am

Is this itinerary doable given the travel times and weather conditions? Any tips or suggestions to improve our experience? Are there some places or activities we could skip? Or are there some places or activities we could instead do?

Also, is a Suica card better or should we get the 14-day JR Pass?
