Hi y'all,
As a curricular part of my Master's, I need to do a 6 months internship and I was looking at Japan, the problem is that I'm not finding a lot of results on websites like LinkedIn or similar and I don't have a clear plan in my head on how to find an internship.
I'm a 23yo mathematician (I have a bachelor's that I got in Milan with maximum grades and I'm doing the master's in EPFL) and I specialized in mathematical physics, so modelization of real phenomenon via (stochastic) PDEs and statistical mechanics, but more in general using maths to study complicated systems. I've worked also for almost 5 years as a software developer while I was studying, so I have quite of a good coding ability. Indeed most of the models that I do in maths are then studied with numerical simulations.
The biggest issue I think is that I don't speak Japanese, I know some but definitely, not enough to live with it or work with it, for this reason, I was thinking about an international company or maybe a startup.
In your opinion, is it feasible for me to find anything? If so, do you have any idea of specific companies that could be interested in my profile? Otherwise, do you have any specific platform where I can look for offers?
Thanks a lot.
