I'm planning my first trip to Japan from Canada and could use some advice on shipping my ski gear. I’ll be arriving in Tokyo and heading to the Yamato Transport counter at Haneda International Airport. From there, I plan to ship my skis to my hotel in Niseko, Hokkaido. (This all seems pretty straightforward from my research).
For the return journey, I need some advice. I’ll be shipping my skis a few days before my departure from Niseko Hirafu 2 Jo, Kutchan to Haneda Airport. I'm wondering:
Has anyone used the Yamato TA-Q-BIN service for the return trip from Niseko?
Can I drop off my skis at a 7-Eleven Yamato counter in Niseko for shipment back to Haneda Airport, or is there a better drop-off point? I see they also have a Yamato Transport at Kutchan center, but wondering if this is the most convenient?
It seems that they will hold them at the airport for at least a day or two, which is all I need. Has anyone had their skis held at the airport?
