1. Food festivals are at yoyogi park most weekends, lots of activities are listed in timeouttokyo website every week, tokyocheapo website. Meetup app also has lots of events every week. I use all of these. I also go the nightlife and clubs in areas like Shibuya,ameyoko,shinjuku etc.

2. Shibamata: Tora san Museum, nice temple, bicycle rentals to ride along edogawa(can visit Mizumoto park, very huge park)

   Yokohama: cup noodle museum, small theme park cosmo world?

   Enoshima: beach front area and tourist spot

   Tachikawa: Showa kinen park

   Ome/Okutama: nature and lots of hiking

   Mount Takao

   Narita: Temple

   Chichibu: nature/tourist area

   Kawagoe: Edo period town

   Hakone, day trip from Tokyo

   Nikko, day trip from Tokyo

   Chiba, Sakura City: Rent denki assist bicycles at the city sightseeing center then ride over to Imba numa, furusato square which has an old dutch windmill and during different flower seasons they have fields of tulips, cosmos, and sunflowers. The farmers market across the road from windmill has fantastic blueberry muffins made from rice flour

3. Good time of year coming up for Matsuri’s. The Awa odori’s in Nakameguro and Kagurazaka in particular are great but there’s Bon Odori’s all over the place too.

   Kagaruzaka is just a great place to explore and eat amazing food full stop.
