Hello Everyone,
I just recently got accepted to a language school in Tokyo and am wondering if Tokyo is a good spot to learn Japanese and use it? I know it’s probably extremely crowded nowadays and I wondering if it might be better to study in a smaller city with less tourists / english speakers in general. After some digging I saw Nagoya, Kobe and Fukuoka pop up. Any thoughts on Tokyo and if it's too crowded at the moment with the large influx of tourist or is looking into some other places better? Im from a small town that doesnt have many malls and a ton of nature. The appeal to me of Tokyo is obviously the ease of getting everywhere, large selection of food and has a ton of events or shops so you could get just about anything you want or need.
I got accepted for a year of study and have been to Japan twice now in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka right after they reopened from the pandemic.
