Hi guys, I finally got a placement offer from ECC for early September in the Kinki District. Was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with them or lives in that district or if anyone else is going over to Japan with ECC in the coming months! Would love to hear about experiences with ECC or just make connections with others

Have not worked for them directly but friends have and heard union members talk. They have their issues but are generally more above board than places and far better than 90% of ALT companies and a lot of Eikaiwas.
Kinki is a huge area. You’ll want a name of a city/town before anyone can really give you information on where you’re going to be.
The Kinki region includes the prefectures of Nara, Wakayama, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyōgo and Shiga, often also Mie, sometimes Fukui, Tokushima and Tottori.
There’s a **lot** of difference within that area.

I know the ECC employees in Nagoya almost went on strike due to not giving sick days and they also have pretty shitty schedules. But hey if it’s the job that gets your foot into the country congratulations! If you don’t like it it’s way easier to find a better job if you are already living here!
