I've been living in Osaka for a few months and have been keeping an eye out for good prices on basic herbs/spices you'd find in a western supermarket and I've found that cheap places like Gyoumu (~100 yen for a refill pack size) don't have the biggest variety, and places with better variety like A-Price tend to have prices starting more around 400+ yen.
Other than the places I mentioned does anyone have any recommendations for places that are reasonably priced with a good variety? I don't mind traveling a bit to get what I want. (Examples of things I had to sub out in a recent recipe: cumin, paprika, cilantro, bay leaf, though I'm sure I'd buy more). Location doesn't matter too much unless it's really at the edge of town.
