I am so excited and a bit nervous for my trip to Japan this November!

I just want to get this out to whoever may find this helpful and anyone who would like to share any feedback!

I'm about to turn 30 and have never traveled more than 100 miles from home. I just bought passes to Japan for 11 days in November, flying from Utah, USA. I'll be 30 on my 3rd day there, November 7, heading to Kyoto from Tokyo by shinkansen.

What motivated me? A video of elderly people regretting not traveling when they were younger. I don't want the same regrets. Japan is one of the few countries I want to visit because it's safe and currently cheap. Plus, I'm big into anime and want to weeb out a bit.

I have most of my trip planned, but the only set plans are accommodations and any reservations I make in the next 2 months. I'll list my must-see places and decide where to go as I go. I don't want the stress of a fixed schedule. I'll be staying at capsule hotels and traveling solo in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

I'm vegetarian and have pinned about 30 places to eat, mostly in Tokyo. I'd like to find more in Kyoto and Osaka. I love noodles, ramen, sushi, pizza, yellow curry, rice, tofu, matcha, tamago kake no gohan, and non-dairy ice cream. Though I'm not a drinker, I enjoy cold peach sake occasionally.

I love hot tubs and hot springs but have a small, easily coverable tattoo. I’d love to make friends in Japan, even those who know little English. I'm patient and can help them learn while they show me around. I also speak Spanish. For those curious, I'm an ENFJ-A—very outgoing and friendly.
