So my wife and i went to japan back in May for 3 weeks, and did Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Yakushima Island. We did a pretty standard trip, aside from the island. We are going back from November 20 – Dec.10th. We are flying into ITM and wanting to stay in the Kansai region, visiting small towns and going to the Sea of Japan side of that region (Tottori?). We also heard some good things about Kumano Kodo trail and Daisen Oki National park looks nice. Are these areas reachable by car? What other areas would be recommended to see fall colors, especially red leaves? We really enjoyed our stay last time. Also open to any good tonkatsu ramen recs
