Hotel Recs – Asakusa, Minato, Uneo

Hi —

My partner and I are planning a trip to Asia and stopping over in Tokyo for four days. We're in our early 40s and are looking for a hotel and we could use some help. I haven't found Tripadvisor or Expedia too helpful, unfortunately.

In short, we're past our clubbing days, but really like neighborhood restaurants/izakayas, relaxing late night with a drink, etc. We're planning on visiting all of the tourist attractions in Tokyo but would like a hotel a bit off the beaten path a bit but still easy to get to attractions. We're not shoppers. Uneo seemed promising because it has a park next to it (which is totally our jam).

I'm rambling, but ideally, we'd like a pretty nice hotel (like Kimpton-type quality nice but not uncomfortable nice), not in a really busy area (we lived in NYC for a while and detested having to walk past Times Square), and an area with fun neighborhood type restaurants. We were considering Park Hotel in Minato because the rooms have different art in them, but I don't know if Minato is the right choice.

If there's a neighborhood I'm missing, please let me know. I pretty much have analysis paralysis. Thank you!!
