Hey all! I am moving to Osaka from abroad in August and would like recommendations of neighborhoods to live. I had done lots of research on neighborhoods in the Tokyo area but ended up getting a job in Osaka (Namba), so am not quite sure where to start. Here are some things I'm looking for in a neighborhood:
- Easy access to Namba station (office building is connected to Nankai Namba)
- My budget is around 60,000-70,000 yen but obviously if I can find cheaper I'd like to
- I am fresh out of college and would love to live somewhere with a decent amount of young people
- I love areas where trees, parks, rivers, temples, and hills are integrated into the city. When I stayed in Tokyo, I liked to walk around places like Nikotama, Yoyogi, and Azabu which, while developed, have lots of green/natural features that made for pleasant strolls
- If it helps, I was mainly looking at Kichijoji and Koenji when I was doing research on Tokyo
I'd love to know if my expectations are realistic, and if so, any potential candidates. Thanks so much!
