Advice needed – Osaka stay

Hi! We plan to arrive at, and depart from Osaka-shin from Tokyo (11/08 to 11/13). I am looking for advice on itinerary + location.

On extensive reading I think the Kensai – Hiroshima pass will be best suited to us for this itinerary.

Our rough itinerary for the 4N/5D stay is as follows:

11/08 – Arrive in Osaka. Visit local area (Umeda, Dontonburi, Namba)

11/09 – Start early for Kyoto with first stop to Fushimi Inari and then to Nara (is this doable or do we need two separate days? I understand that both these places are along the same train line.)

11/10 – A full day visit to Hiroshima & Miyajima with an early start to the day. I plan to take a train to miyajimaguchi station and do Miyajima island and then come to Hiroshima for second half of the day. – will this be doable or should I be visiting only one of the two places?

11/11 – Hello Kitty bullet train ride – I understand this train runs only once a day from Osaka at 11:24 am. The idea is to ride this train as my daughter is keen to do this. – Any suggestions of a place to explore within a one hour travel time on this train?

Evening – Osaka castle, if possible.

11/12 – Start early for Kyoto – Arashiyama in first half and Gion district and Tea ceremony with traditional attire – any specific recommendations for the places that offer this?

11/13 – Train to Tokyo from Shin-Osaka

Some questions –

I am ideally looking at apartment hotels where we can cook some meals. I have options (Airbnb and Booking.com) of options near Umeda / Osaka station or near Nippon Bashi station.

Given the rough itinerary above, which location should be preferred to stay in Osaka? I am leaning towards Umeda / Osaka station.
