I’m leaving for Japan in a few days and I find myself in a bit of a conundrum. I was under the impression that Discover was accepted in most places but I found out that was not the case. I heard the best ATM for exchanging to yen is at 7/11, but I have a chase debit card and the foreign transaction fees are 3%. I heard people recommend Charles Schwab as it has no transaction fees on their ATM card but I don’t have enough time to receive it. Do you think it is possible to ask for Schwab to send the card to the Airbnb address in Japan or do I just need to bite the bullet and take the loss. If there is another way please let me know.
