1. When I changed my status last year, it took a little over 3 1/2 months. I called every other week to check on the status and they kept telling me, “wait a little longer”. Finally around the 3 month mark, they called me and asked when I’d be submitting my paperwork. I told them I did 3 months ago. That’s when they realized that the guy who was in charge of my case lost my paperwork when he quit. If it’s taking longer than expected, stay on top of them.

2. Started the process on April 12th, got my residence card delivered on June 19th.

3. A couple of weeks, but my company hired a specialized lawyer so that certainly helped speeding up the process.
