1. Propaganda.

   More cameras won’t stop anything but will make somebody rich while assisting authorarian tendencies (see China).

   Random baggage checks are also just a foot in the door for authoritarianism. Its erratic individuals that need to be checked. Anything else is just mass harassment.

   Three isolated incidents over seven years hardly constitutes a string of attacks, especially considering the only death was that of a perpetrator. And they use this as a contrast to 14 dead 27 years ago??
