2 Week Japan Itinerary Check – Tokyo , Nikko , Yokohama , Kamakura , Kyoto

First time trip to Japan for a group of 3 – 35 old Males. Oct. 7-20 / 2024.

This is a first go at a more detailed itinerary for our trip , need some feedback on if this seems feasible or not. While in Tokyo and Kyoto our group is wanting time to get lost / explore in neighborhoods , but still see a few sights / main attractions each day. I have done a lot of research and read a Japan travel book but this is personally my first real trip abroad , so forgive any naivety.

^TOKYO Monday Oct. 7 – Land in Narita 430PM – Asakusa Hotel – Explore around hotel

^TOKYO Tuesday Oct. 8 – Senso-ji – Tokyo National Museum – Ueno Park – Akihabara – Skytree

^TOKYO Wednesday Oct. 9 -TeamLab Planets – Meiji Jingu – Omotesando/Harajuku – Shibuya Sky for sunset – Shibuya Crossing – Drinks in Ebisu this day seems tight , may potentially change Shibuya crossing / Shibuya Sky to another day , if this is the case it will just give more time to spend in and around Ebisu

^TOKYO Thursday Oct. 10 -Imperial Palace/East Garden – Tsukiji Outer Market – Nakameguro/Daikanyamacho – Shinjuku – Golden Gai – potential to alter this day a bit and fit in the Shibuya Sky for sunset

^TOKYO Friday Oct. 11 – Shimokitazawa – Kichijoji – this day is open for whatever we want to do , potential to add Shibuya Sky sunset this day as well

^TOKYO/NIKKO Satuday Oct. 12 – Travel to Nikko – Shinkyo bridge – Toshu-gu – Kanmangafuchi Abyss

^{NIKKO/YOKOHAMA} Sunday Oct. 13 – Travel to Yokohama – Minatomirai area – Chinatown – Brewery area and bar hopping – Hotel in Yokohama

^{YOKOHAMA/KAMAKURA} Monday Oct. 14 – Day trip to Kamakura. Jochi-ji – Daibutsu Hiking Course -Kotoku-in – Hase-dera – Komachi-dori – Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu – Back to Yokohama hotel

^{Yokohama/Kyoto}Tuesday Oct. 15 – Travel to Kyoto – Toji Temple and around – no set plans yet for remainder or this day , may be a relaxed day

^KYOTO Wednesday Oct. 16 -Chion-in – Maruyama-koen – Kiyomizu-dera – Tofuku-ji – Fushi-inari-Taisha – Ponto-cho

^KYOTO Thursday Oct. 17 – Tenru-ji – Bamboo Grove – Okochi Villa – Toji-in – Ninna-ji ( or Ryoan-ji / Kinkaku-ji)

^KYOTO Friday Oct. 18 – Nanzen-ji – Eikan-do – Philosopher's Path – Ginkaku-ji – Heian Shrine and explore area – Ryokan for the night

^KYOTO/TOKYO Sat. Oct 19 – Travel back to Tokyo – Shinjuku hotel – nightlife / drinks or whatever we feel like in Tokyo

^TOKYO Sun Oct 20 – Potentially explore in the morning / head to airport – flights leave at 630PM
