Whether you have anecdotal evidence or you read the research from the west, there is a clear indication that psychedelics have a positive effect on most people’s mental health, as long as they’re administered in a responsible way.
What is preventing a similar cultural view here?

Actually there is a boom in interest from media and the public in the west but the evidence is not there.
Good luck with that… Shrooms used to be sold in shops though apparently….

Japan was a shroom haven apparently some 25 years ago.
Dunno what happened.
That’s news to me.
They’re still teaching in schools that synthetic drugs are safer than weed, so…yeah uh, indoctrination would be my guess.

Asia’s hatred of pot in general may be a place to start.
In case you haven’t noticed, this is not a place of empirical evidence.
Psychedelic mushrooms grow naturally here, it’s actually just about the right season for them now.
