I’m heading to Japan this summer, and it’s my second time there. I'm going with my wife and our two kids.
Both my wife and I are pretty tattooed, but I’ve got more ink than she does—double sleeves and a full leg sleeve.
I saw this old TikTok video that went viral saying men shouldn’t wear shorts and women should dress very conservatively (which I get), but it’s gonna be super hot when we go. This confused me because last time I was there in the winter, I saw tons of Japanese girls wearing super short skirts in the freezing cold. I know it's not the norm, but there were a lot of them.
I’m wondering how bad it would be if my wife and I wear shorts? With shorts, my whole leg sleeve will be out, and I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, especially on the trains.
Any advice would be awesome!
