Move to Japan with wife but my company doesn’t support applying for spouse visa

Hi everyone,

I'm from Vietnam and working for a company in Japan and will be moving to Japan in next 4 – 5 months. My company helps proceed the working visa for me. I had lived in Japan for 3 years before moving back to Vietnam on 2022 so I know the procedure of moving as one person.

I plan to move with my wife and the problem here is: my company doesn't support applying visa for my wife. As far as I understand, I'll receive the certificate of eligibility (CoE) for me, and then I will enter Japan and they will issue a residence card. However, the thing is I want to move with my wife at a same time. Is this possible for me to apply for spouse visa while I'm still in Vietnam and with a CoE only?
