Is Japan ripping me off with the Suica card? For example, at Shinjuku station, I had wanted to purchase a Tokyo 72 hour subway ticket. I was told the only place I could do that was at that Tokyo metro office near the Maranouchi Line. I had to tap my Suica just to get downstairs even though I wasn’t actually about to take the train…I was simply trying to access another part of the station.
In addition, I keep running into these instances where there’s more than a 1000 yen on my Suica and it will still say insufficient.
I feel as though as I’m just tapping the bloody thing all the time. Hence me purchasing the 72 hour ticket…which even then doesn’t work on every line even if still within Tokyo…
I don’t know I might be ranting but i’m very confused.
