I need a Japanese Bank account. I trying to register my children for a Japanese daycare and said I need a Japanese Bank account. I just went to the Japan Post because they have a banking system that is supposedly foreigner friendly but they said I need a residency card. I don't think I have one as me and my wife are US government contractors with SOFA statuses. Does anyone know how I can get a bank account or another option? The kids have already started daycare this week and the daycare has been super awesome working with us.
