With IB LLC, it allows me to get margin loans colateralized by US securities in JPY. The rates are quite attractive. I understand that once I move to Japan, my account will be transfered over to IB Japan, which does not offer margin. Is this correct? If so, are there brokerage options out there that will allow for a US person living in Japan to trade on margin?
