Pursue a master’s degree in Business Intelligence or attend a Senmon Gakkou in Japan?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working in the field of international trade with 10 years of experience and I hold a degree in International Relations. I'm considering advancing my career by focusing on Business Analytics. By the time I start my studies, I will be 35 years old. I'm torn between two options and could use some advice. I feel too I am going to be too old for a senmon gakkou.

  1. Master’s Degree in Business Intelligence: This would provide a more theoretical and advanced understanding of analytics, likely recognized internationally, and could open doors to higher-level positions and a global network.
  2. Senmon Gakkou (Vocational School) in Japan: This option seems to offer a more practical and hands-on approach, potentially quicker and less expensive, with strong industry connections in Japan that could facilitate immediate job placement.

Given my background, career goals, and age, which option would you recommend? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
