The very tasty Gizzard shad(kohada) is caught in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture, in Japan.

I wondered if kohada is eaten in the world.

  1. It’s rare to find in the US, but Kohada done well is amazing. I’ve only had Kohada in Japan though.
