3 Month Internship in Tokyo

Hi all,

I'm a german going to Tokyo for a 3 month research internship later this year (late Sep – late Dec). I found some places to stay but would like some opinions still on the best places to stay for activity, night life, etc.

I'll start by saying my accommodation budget is ~ 800 EUR / month ( = 140,000 JPY / month). I'm looking for a place with an energetic and social atmosphere. I will probably get a shared apartment or dorm rather than a private apartment, as long as the place is in a good location and good facilities.

The place where I will be working is around Takeshiba Station. I don't mind a 40 minute travel time (seems to be standard for anywhere to get to Takeshiba). The places I found are 1h distance away (e.g. Kamikita House in Shimotakaido) and that's the only reason I'm still looking.

I'll gladly provide any other info. Am grateful for any tips.
