Hello everyone,
It will be my first time coming this october and i'm quite excited! I have 3 weeks and this is what i have planned so far. I'm not going to write detailed description of every day because i haven't plan this yet. I'm just looking to see if the general number of days allocated to every city is alright!
Saturday 5th: arriving early morning (8am) at Narita.
Staying in Tokyo until Friday 11th with a day trip to Nikko.
Friday 11: going to Hakone early morning – hiking during the morning, onsen during the afternoon, staying overnight.
Saturday 12 to Friday 18: Staying in Kyoto
2 days visiting Kyoto
2 days visiting Osaka (i feel like i prefered to do Osaka as day trip instead of moving our things and changing hotel?)
1 day trip to Uji
1 day trip to Nara + Fushimi Inari
Friday 18th: going to Hiroshima for 2 nights
Saturday 19th: day trip to Miyajima
now this is where i'm less certain…
I was thinking about heading back to Tokyo on Sunday the 20th.
Maybe spend the day in a city onsen to relax a little? i feel like i will be quite tired after more than 2 weeks of doing so much (i'm usually a slow paced traveler so this is quite the change..)
Monday 21st: i really want to go Disney Sea. probably not the best use of 1 day in Japan but i've never been to anything Disney and always wanted to?
I'm hoping to spend the 2 night closer to the park then move back to a more central location (we're are staying first in Sinjuku so maybe somewhere a little more relaxed for the last 3 days)
and then, Tuesday 22th to Friday 25th: Tokyo again. Shopping + food + walking around/drinking matcha/slower pace travelling like i prefer.
Or maybe take one last close ish day trip? would love to see some nature, maybe hiking. open to suggestions!
So that's pretty much it! pretty basic i know, nothing of the beaten track but it's a first trip and i'm going to be with a friend the first 2 week of the trip then solo. i definitely want to come back later to road trip Hokkaido and also do some skiing around Nagano with my fiance which can't make it this time!
