Soo I took japanese from kindergarten – 9th grade through my international elementary school, and then middle school, and one year of HS (i’m in 10th right now), and I live in the U.S.. Point is, my pronunciation is (not to brag) very good, and i have a pretty good baseline vocabulary, and i have great listening skills, where I don’t have a lot is grammar, some vocab, and i only know about 50-60 kanji on sight. I was looking at some AP Japanese stuff and it looks pretty simple apart from the kanji, so my very long-winded question is basically this. If I spend the year learning a ton of kanji, could I comfortably pass the exam? If anyone has taken it before haha.
