Finding Motorsport Events

Are there are centralised resources for finding/tracking Motorsport events in Japan? Looking for an equivalent or similar to something like this: https://www.motorsportreg.com/

Aside from major events like F1 or Tokyo Auto Salon it seems relatively difficult to keep track. Even purely social events would be helpful.

Keen to hear what people use and what they attend.

Also interested to know if anyone here has driven at any open track days. Wouldn’t mind taking my not that fun Golf for a hoon around one of the smaller tracks, but unsure where to start in terms of finding out rules for insurance/clothing/car prep regulations.

  1. An American friend of mine in Shizuoka is associated with those kinds of events. OP, where are you located?

  2. Since you’re in Saitama, Tsukuba Circuit is probably your best bet for an active track scene, whether it’s on two wheels or four. WithMe is the easiest in to getting your feet wet since they do trackdays that are quite straightforward to sign up for and have some English guidance if your Japanese isn’t quite up to snuff.

Here’s the application for their trackday at Tsukuba on Oct. 1

If your Japanese is good and you want to try going to other tracks like Fuji Speedway, ProIz also does trackdays there (and at Tsukuba Circuit).

Note that if you want to become a regular goer to a particular track, it’s often cheaper to get the license for them and register for track-run sessions.

Other common go-tos are Sodegaura Forest Raceway down in Chiba or the smaller tracks dotting the region like Honjo Circuit.
