We've found ourselves in possession of a considerable amount of yen (cash). We are in Canada and planning a trip in spring 2025 to Japan. Since we've got the cash in hand, we'd prefer to use that whenever possible 🙂 Any specific tips would be very much appreciated. Like you can book this thing online and just pay in cash when you get there kind of things. Like, you can get this or that at Lawsons when you arrive and just pay cash there. The best place to buy train tickets in cash is at this location etc.

ETA: For example, I read that it might be possible to buy USJ tickets when we arrive from Lawsons in cash. That was useful information and the kind of thing I'm looking for. Has anyone ever done so? Would anyone know if there is likely to be tickets available two weeks or less before? Or express passes/timed entry to Nintendo World?
