Ishigaki trash issue??

Hi,

I was now in Ishigaki for 2 days – I can't drive, so I walked a lot around, which would have been nice, if there wouldn't that much trash everywhere 🙁 No, I don't mean the beaches, I walked from the ferry to the Maesato beach. And on this mainroad there is so much trash… Plasticbags filled with cans, plasticbags filled with cables (WTF!?)… Then I went into a neighbourhood, there was a small road which was public, I assumed the road leads to the sea.. I don't know, because I saw then that there was everything… Cans, bottles and yes, even an old TV…??
So it can't be from other countries, it has to be from the people that live there…

Is it only because it's not mainseason, or does have Ishigaki really a trash problem?

The island itself is so beautiful, and yes, I did snorkeling in the bluecaves. It was so beautiful to see all the fishes <3

On my trip now I was in Tokyo (my hotel was in Kabukicho) and Sapporo (man, I love this city so much). But none of these cities and other I visited were so dirty in the afternoon. I didn't know that this exist in Japan…
