Has anybody traveled through Japan in August and booked as they go? Mainly hostels and public transport. I’ve booked my hostel stay In Tokyo but am not sure exactly how to plan ahead from there or if it’s even needed.
I’d also really appreciate some timing/route suggestions and how long to stay in each city.
Here’s my trip so far and what I’d like to accomplish.
17 days in Japan total, landing in Tokyo and booked nights 1-4 in Tokyo hostel.
From there I think I’d like to hike Mount Fuji, visit Kyoto, and Osaka before heading back to Tokyo to fly out. (Would take any other city suggestions accesible vía cheap public transport as well.)
Could someone provide me some insight/ suggestions on how many nights to book in each of those cities for 17 days total? I would really appreciate!
