I'm traveling to Tokyo next spring and my dad would like me bring back a few things for him.
1.) a high quality Flag of Japan. I am not sure where to find one or if this is even an appropriate thing to buy. I know that in America there are many rules for flags and I don't want to do anything offensive or inappropriate while in Japan. I also don't want anything too tourist-y or cheap. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
2.) a Star Wars movie poster in Japanese. We are planning on visiting Akihabara so I was thinking I'd find something there, but I'm not sure about specific stores for this.
We are going in April for a Star Wars convention in Chiba, but I'm not so sure the convention will have a movie poster with Japanese text. We are staying in Akasaka with plans to visit Akihabara, Shibuya (specifically Takeshita Street and Shibuya Parco, as well as the surrounding areas), Minato City (Tokyo Tower), Chuo City (near Tokyo Station), Sumida City (for Skytree), and of course Chiba (Makuhari Messe), and Akasaka (Imperial Residence).
I've looked through the FAQ for shopping and I have not found anything that answers my questions.
Upon Googling, I have found one Star Wars collectable store, Star Case. Any experience with that?? Is something like a movie poster to be found here? It's a little out of the way, but I can make it work if there's nothing closer to the mentioned locations.
I'd hate to come back empty handed, so any pointers would be awesome!! Thank you so much!
