Are Japanese apartment toilet only rooms usually the same size?

Hello, I’m currently looking at Japanese apartments and there’s a couple of them that I really like, but my only concern is that the toilet is in its own room, as opposed to attached to the shower room.

Last time I was in Japan I stayed in an airbnb that had the same toilet layout. I’m 5’10” and my knees would hit the door when sitting down. I got around this by just keeping the door open, but for a long term apartment I’d like to avoid this situation. Especially when I have guests over and no longer have that option.

So I’m wondering if these toilet only rooms are usually the same size and I’ll run into this issue no matter where I go or if I just got unlucky with the airbnb and it was smaller than usual.
