Hi, I'm planning to transfer 5,000,000 JPY from my JP Bank account into my Swiss bank account. After asking friends and reading through comments on reddit, Wise seems to be the best option. But according to Wise if I was to send 5,000,000 JPY the fee would be 29,114 JPY while transferring 5,000,000 JPY through Japan Post Bank International Remittance would only be 7,500 JPY.
Am I missing something? Are there any downsides I'm not aware of except for probably convenience and speed that I would gain by using Wise instead?
But at a fee that is almost 4 times as high it's something I would put up with.
