As the question asks: where can I (as a foreigner) get a kitten or 1-2 year old cat in Kyoto, Japan?
Edit: I'm moving to Kyoto this April 2024. I'll be bringing them back to my home country if I'm unable to renew my visa after couple years stay, so please do not worry. The reason why I want a younger cat in specific is because they're usually healthier and more adaptable to changes, whereas it can be dangerous to relocate an older cat (especially through something as stressful as quarantine).
P.S. I'm not looking for lectures, advice, or the like on how to take care of cats and the like. I'm an older adult who has had cats all my life, I'm not looking to get a pet from a pet store, and I do regular check-ins with vets; I usually have two at a time but it will unfortunately depend varying circumstances. I'm just looking to know where I can get one. So, please: no unsolicited advice, lectures, or the like. I just want to know where I can get a cat.
