[Itinerary Check] 30 days. Kyushu to Tokyo

My itinerary might be a little ambitious haha. So the quick version of my itinerary: I would like to start in Kyushu and work my way up to Tokyo. For context, I’ve been to Japan once. I did Tokyo and Hokkaido.

Itinerary

1. Kyushu (8 nights)

\- Kagoshima (6 nights. includes 2 rest days)

\- Sengan-en gardens, Yakushima, Tenmokan

\- Foukaka City (2 nights)

\- Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Fukouka City Museum, Fukouka Tower, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

\- Honestly, I’m not super excited about this and may just remove altogether.

2. Osaka/Kyoto (9 nights)

\- Base/hotel location: Osaka (namba)

\- Kyoto day trips, Nara, Gion and Higashiyama

3. Chubu Region (5 nights)

\- Base/hotel location: Nagoya

\- Mt Fuji, Ise shrine, Takayama, Shirawaka-go. Don’t have specific plans other than that. Would like at least 1 rest day

4. Tokyo (7 nights)

\- Base/hotel location: near Tokyo station

\- I actually don’t have any specific plans for Tokyo other than a few food spots I’d like to check out. But of course, would like to include rest days

Question: How should I initially get down to Kyushu. I thought about of course flying into Tokyo and then taking another flight to Kagoshima or Fukouka. However, the flights I looked at had long layovers. So then I considered just doing the flight into tokyo and then taking the bullet train. thoughts? No matter what I’d like to work my way up to Tokyo
