Hit a car with my bicycle – advice on what to do next

Hi all, hit a parked car with my bicycle and it left a few scratches from where my basket hit the back of the car.

The owners of the car were not home when this happened so I left a note with my contact details. I have insurance from when I bought the bicycle and have taken photos of the accident. Feeling pretty stupid about what happened.

Wanted advice – should I file a police report? Should I try to get in touch with the owners another way? Is there anything else I need to do?

Update in case anyone is ever in the same situation:
– contact your bicycle insurance company
– filing a police report was not necessary (according to my insurance company) but recommended
– after getting in touch with the vehicle owner, the bicycle insurance company reached out to this individual before sorting out the repair costs with their car insurance company
