Thought about the Genki I (2nd edition)?

1. It’s fine. 3rd has updated vocabulary, but they are very similar. I think they explain the grammar a little better in 3rd, but you should be fine with the 2nd ed.

2. 2nd edition textbook is fine, but I’d still use the 3rd edition free study resources here:

   Don’t bother buying the workbook- the website will have you covered
