Hello,
I asked for a second extension of period of stay 5 weeks ago as a phd student in a private university but I have yet to receive an answer.
During my application I changed of main part time job and therefore notified the immigration with my new employer contract.
Is it why it is taking so long ? Do you advise me to go to the immigration and ask for updates ? My visa was set to expire at the end of this month.

Hello, I went to the immigration bureau to inquire about my extension for a student (PhD) visa as my current visa expired yesterday.
They asked me to write a letter. I explained that my university has granted me additional semesters as a phd student to complete basic requirements to graduate but that my graduation date has not been finalized yet. It is the second time I do it and I know the file is complete (university's paperwork, part time job proofs, etc).
Anyways, after a confusing back and forth they just concluded that my file is under consideration still.
Anyone has been asked to provide such additional document ? Should I be worried ?
