Should i keep my subscription even though NJPW isn't as good as it used to be?

  1. It’s your choice, but I usually only subscribe for the tournaments and wrestle kingdom or see some of my favorite matches

  2. Loyalty! I love these 2 and a half hours with mult-tag matches and a crowed of 80 people

  3. I had been a full time subscriber for about 4 years. The new app is hot garbage and we’re getting less content overall and in English with walker at the helm so now I’m subbing for stuff I want. Like there’s basically a month gap between mid June and mid July where were getting fuck all in content and less content in the archives.

  4. I’d recommend taking that money that you’re gonna be saving by canceling, and use it towards a Wrestle-universe.com membership (it cost the same as NJPW world) but it has a ton more (NOAH, MARIGOLD, DDT, TJPW etc)

there’s less english content but the platform is better and you’re still getting great Japanese wrestling. I’d recommend NOAH (most of the big shows have english) and MARIGOLD (same principle here). DDT has a mix between non sense comedy wrestling and actual “traditional Japanese” wrestling, not a must watch in my opinion but definitely worth checking out. They have Wrestle PETER PAN coming up mid July (this is DDT’s version of wrestle kingdom), this one might be a must watch and it will have english commentary.

    Hope that helps!

  5. I’m personally keeping my sub because I’m still paying at the old yen price, and of all things I’m subscribed to these days, this one’s the cheapest. Besides, I want to actively support the company that desperately needs money.

  6. I didn’t renew this month personally. Will be back when the old stuff is uploaded though.

  7. I’ve kept it but I don’t know why. The app is a mess, I kept it to watch the archive but much of that is near-impossible to find. It might be time.

  8. It’s entirely up to you. I’m keeping mine going.
But I agree that it’s nowhere near its peak right now. They urgently need new top stars. Umino, Narita, Tsuji, and Uemura are the future and I believe this year’s G1 will feature 2 of these in the Final. But I feel it’s a year too early for them, and no Okada to put them over hurts too.
