Hokkaido’s cool stuffs

Hello!

My family and I are planning to go to Hokkaido again this August. When I was young we've already been to Hokkaido before and seen majority of the famous attractions (Clocktower, canal, chocolate factory, flower fields etc) – Absolutely loved the city and hence the return trip!

Just curious if anyone here would share some unique places or towns that you've enjoyed before? Perhaps an unusual town with the unexpected warmth to it or a whisper of wilderness you've so happen to stumbled upon? The uncharted gems of Hokkaido if you will.

Give me the best!

  1. Uncharted? Rent a car and drive into the boonies. Shiretoko is a nice spot. Watch out for the bears.

  2. just went to hokkaido for a second time…first time was during the yuki matsuri and it was fun to see sapporo in the summer. going again next summer so i’m also interested in new and remote places to visit, too…we loved asahikawa and want to explore the area a bit more…but even go further east next time. happy to hear the recommendations, too…

  3. Whisky brewery in Yoichi.

A stunning view of the piercingly beautiful blue ocean from Cape Shakotan.
