If Ishii or Taichi fail to qualify for the G1 they should go an excursion to NOAH/AJPW/BJPW

Whilst they are some of the favourites to make it in due to their stature, there is a chance they don't. Neither are going to be main eventers in NJPW in the coming years. I think an excursion to another Japanese promotion similar to Nagata's in AJPW, Kojima in NOAH or Suzuki Gun in NOAH could be great for them and their legacy. They get a chance to be showcased higher up on the card, have fresh match ups, not get stale to NJPW audiences and potentially win titles.

Ishii could mix it up with other hard hitters like Sugiura, SUWAMA or Sekimoto.

Taichi could finish the story and prove his worth to Kawada and try to win the Triple Crown championship.

NJPW has felt a bit stale at times this year. I think it is due to some of the longer teured roster members who can still go being around. Whilst they are still good it just feel a bit samish. Given them a couple months away from our eyes could do them some good.

I would even suggest this for the likes of Ishimori, Goto, Yoshi-Hashi and all of HOT.

  1. I’d love to see them in AJPW tbh NOAH has many top stars so I don’t believe that they’d need them and I don’t think they fit with BJPW and them in DDT could also be fun

  2. Not a bad idea tbh especially with Taichi I love the guy but NJPW Clearly don’t see him as a possible top guy sadly

  3. The N1 is approaching and it would benefit noah having some new japan talent in the mix.

  4. A Taichi return to AJPW is something I’ve always wanted to see. Not full-on sign, because i do think he’s found his “spot” in NJPW, but a good run in All Japan would be so cool.

Taichi vs the likes of Kento Miyahara, Yuma Aoyagi, Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda and Suwama would all be good to great matches.

  5. I would love to See Taichi in AJPW. Maybe even see him win the Triple crown for a short while.

  6. Sux. Im a huge ishii fan… i just wish he would do more… but with his age. And booking history lol. Welllllllll……

  7. Technically not what is colloquially known as excursion. They aren’t leaving for experience (they are in their 40s)

You are just explaining signing a contract for a new company

  8. Maybe they’ll do a little, but eventually they’ll be needed for Pre-Show tags.

That is if they don’t make it. I think Ishii is pretty much a guarantee, Taichi’s only real competition is seemingly Tana.
