A friend and I have just arrived in Hiroshima from Kyoto and purchased Shinkansen tickets a few minutes beforehand at the station to do so. We need to be back in Tokyo for a flight home in 2 days and are looking to understand if unreserved tickets can sell out? And if so can we purchase these beforehand? Ive looked to book online through Klook which wont allow me to book any reserved seats for that day (Saturday 27th July) direct from Hiroshima but the service has plenty of booking options from other stations. Is there any possibility that we get stuck in Hiroshima or have to travel to another location to ride the Shinkansen, assuming there is a limit or specific availability to unreserved tickets with the understanding that all reserved tickets have sold out?
