Any JSPS fellows out there who did a paid research internship in the industry (like Google, Amazon) in Japan? The JSPS rules are not clear on this matter: they seem to prohibit internships in a for-profit company, but bless research internships (not saying whether they can be paid). The problem is that serious companies do not offer unpaid research internships. Anyone has any experience with that?
