I’ve been questioning my gender for a long time, and I have started to think I might be Transgender. I’m also Pansexual, meaning I feel attraction regardless of gender.

How are transgender (and LGBTQIA+ in general) seen in Japan? Is life harder? I’ve always wanted to live and work in Japan, but that’s already hard enough as a foreigner and now I’m even more worried.

You might not get killed, but LGBTQIA right aren’t all that progressive.
Unlikely to run into overt hate but expect lots of muttering behind your back and no chance of finding a conventional job.
