Love this community!! So many great ideas.
Well I am organising a trip to japan, very excited. Ive been to japan twice but just for work. This time I am bringing the whole family! My wife has done a fair bit of travel, niece has never been overseas before and kids have done a little, but nothing on this scale 🙂 Its quite different for me also because I usually just wing it when I travel (book the first few nights, then let fate decided haha). But with so many of us and kids and how popular japan is at the moment, I think being organised is not a choice no more 🙂
Of course some of the places will need to be shuffled dependant on when i can get things booked. any tips for theme park bookings, ghibli and kirby/pokemon cafes would be greatly appreciated.
Also very keen on some ryoken with kaisen meals, that have a onsen and are kid friendly. Having a hard time getting bookings so far.
Does this seem fairly logical? Any tips on which JR passes or how I should organise bookings for travel? Would it be worth getting a car for the country leg of the journey?
